No. T1 · terms of service

The deal.

Short, fair, and written by humans. By using Meerkat you're agreeing to the terms below — please read them once.

01What Meerkat is

What Meerkat is

Meerkat is a prompt-engineering tool. It asks you a few sharp questions, drafts a working prompt, and lets you test it on the spot — or chat with it live to refactor a prompt you already have. The product is provided by Schmade Studio.

02Your account

Your account

You can use most of Meerkat without an account. To save prompts to a library or sync across devices, you sign in with an email. Don't share your account, don't impersonate someone else, don't register on behalf of a person who didn't ask you to. You're responsible for what happens under your login.

03What you can do

What you can do

Use Meerkat for personal, professional, educational, or commercial work. Build prompts, save them, share them, run them. The prompts you write are yours — we don't claim ownership of your content.

You can use Meerkat through our website, our ChatGPT App, our Claude connector, or any other surface we publish. The same terms apply on all of them.

04What you can't do

What you can't do

The usual short list:

  • Don't use Meerkat to build prompts that produce illegal content, content sexualising minors, or content designed to harass, threaten, or defraud a real person.
  • Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract our system prompts, source code, or infrastructure.
  • Don't use Meerkat to spam, send unsolicited messages, or run automated abuse against any system.
  • Don't resell Meerkat as a product. (You can use it to do client work — that's fine and encouraged.)

We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, usually after a warning, immediately for severe abuse.

05AI output

AI output

Meerkat uses third-party AI models (currently OpenAI's GPT family via the Vercel AI Gateway) to generate prompt drafts and chat replies. AI output is generated, not authoritative — it can be wrong, biased, outdated, or weird. You're responsible for reviewing what Meerkat produces before you ship it anywhere that matters.

We make no guarantees about the accuracy, quality, or fitness of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

06Pricing & billing

Pricing & billing

Meerkat's core builder is free. Anonymous chat is capped at a small number of messages per session; signed-in accounts get more. If we introduce paid tiers in the future, we'll tell you clearly before any charge — no surprise upgrades.

07Changes & uptime

Changes & uptime

We'll add features, fix bugs, and occasionally change how things work. We don't guarantee 100% uptime — this is a small studio, not Google. We do our best to keep things up and to communicate planned downtime.

08Termination

Termination

You can stop using Meerkat anytime. You can delete your account from settings (or by emailing us) and we'll erase your data within 30 days, usually faster.

We can suspend access if you're using the product to break the law, abuse other people, or attack our infrastructure. We'll explain why if we do.

09Disclaimers

Disclaimers

Meerkat is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Schmade Studio isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the product.
